HARRIET GERVASIO

London Belly Dance contributor

"Harriet Gervasio began learning Egyptian dance for over a decade ago and completed the JWAAD teacher training diploma in 2002. She is known for her sassy, playful style, which lends itself very nicely to her explorations into the world of burlesque! As well as performing traditional styles of Egyptian dance, London based Harriet has become well known for her burlesque fusion and teaches regular workshops in the UK exploring both styles of dance. She is a member of the Johara dance company, directed by Josephine Wise and has been known to show her fangs from time to time with the fiendishly entertaining Raqs Macabre, directed by Christine Emery."
