GUY SCHALOM (left) - "During his travels in Luxor, southern Egypt, percussionist, dancer & independent record producer Guy Schalom studied the Saiidi male folk dance style. Using a quarter-staff, this tradition is a fore-runner to the male dancing commonly seen by tourists to Egypt & has its roots in a combat dance known as takhteeb. Guy is one of the UK's only male practitioners of this authentic art form."

KHALED MAHMOUD (right) - "His presence on stage is unforgettable. His movements are dazzling. With a captivating smile & shimmies that seem like a minor earthquake, few dancers improvise & entertain an audience like Khaled does. He has made himself a name both as a mesmerizing dancer & a respected sought-after teacher all over the world."

OZGEN (left) - "Ozgen has performed, taught, choreographed & directed for over a decade.  His reputation as a male belly dancer & teacher has taken him across Europe.  In Istanbul, he joined the cast of Hurrem Sultan, Sultans of the Dance & Night of the Sultans, combining contemporary dance, ballet & oriental dance. Ozgen taught for several years at the Tolgahan Dance School in Istanbul & is now based in London."

SHAFEEK IBRAHIM (right) - "The new generation of Egyptian folkloric, Shafeek has worked in theatres & shows all over Egypt. As an ex-Reda troupe member, his experience & training are well-recognised & respected.  He has performed & taught at the UK's biggest dance events & is considered a master of Arabic dance. Shafeek was a judge for the BBC's Big Dance Mass, the biggest recorded dance event in history."
