Costume 1 - Old gold lycra
A beautiful 4-piece Egyptian costume made of quality old gold colour lycra. It is adorned with an intricate sequin design repeated on the bra, skirt & 2 arm pieces, with long fringing on the bra. The costume is a beautiful colour but the photos do not do it justice - you will not be disappointed by how gorgeous it is! Very comfortable & easy to dance in.
The bra has an intricate sequin design with long fringing at the front. The bra is fully lined with satin & is a generous C-cup. The straps are very long & therefore able to adjust to fit many different sizes.
The full-length skirt has an intricate sequin design front & back at both the top & bottom. It has one side split to just above the knee. The costume was bought from Julia who is a tiny size 6, but fits my 40" hips perfectly & would fit slightly larger.
The 2 arm pieces repeat the intricate sequin design.

Costume 2 - Pink & black lycra
A beautiful 2-piece Egyptian costume of quality peachy pink lycra. It is adorned with an intricate sequin design repeated on the bra & skirt, with delicate fringing on the bra & cut out details across the skirt. The dramatic design is really eye-catching! Lycra costumes are easy & comfortable to dance in.
The bra has a dramatic design on the pink lycra in black & yellow, with pink & silver detailing, & fringing at the front. The bra is fully lined & is a generous C-cup. The straps are very long & therefore able to adjust to fit many different sizes.
The full-length skirt has the same dramatic design front & back, at the top & bottom & down the sides. There are numerous cheeky cut outs on the costume covered in black netting & edged with silver beads. There is delicate fringing on the front & back to add movement to the costume. There is also a 'belt' detail that rises up from the front of the costume to fasten at the back of the waist (it is long & can be adjusted to fit) - it accentuates the waist, or even creates the appearance of one! The lycra hugs the hips then fans out at the bottom - it looks great when you turn. The costume was bought from Julia who is a tiny size 6, but fits my 40" hips perfectly.

Condition: Bought from professional belly dancer Juliet (of Idol 2008), but never worn by me. Looks almost new (some of the sequins need re-attaching/tidying up & the hem has a couple of dark marks on the inside where presumably it touched the floor?).

Costume 3 - Orange sequin Turkish bra & belt set with chiffon skirt
A beautiful 5-piece costume consisting of a matching sequined bra & belt with attached chiffon skirt, plus headpiece & 2 armlets in typical Turkish design. The bra, belt, headpiece & armlets are completely covered in iridescent hand-sewn sequins in orange & bronze. The floaty chiffon skirt is a delicate peach colour is edged with sequins. This is a beautiful colour combination & looks spectacular when photographed in motion with a flash - the sequins sparkle & shimmer!
The bra is completely covered in iridescent orange sequins highlighted with bronze sequin detailing. It has delicate orange fringing with silver beads under each cup. The bra is fully lined with satin & is a generous C-cup. The straps can be adjusted to adjust to fit different sizes.
The hip belt is completely covered in iridescent orange sequins highlighted with bronze sequin detailing. It has long orange fringing with silver beads all around. The belt comes in 2 separate sections that attach with hooks & eyes at the sides. The hooks & eyes can be moved so the costume can fit different sizes. It easily fits my 40" hips.
The attached skirt is made of beautiful floaty chiffon edged with sequins. It is see-through & slashed to the waist, in typical Turkish style! The more modest dancer could sew up the side seams, or wear tights or harem pants underneath.
The 2 arm pieces & the headpiece repeat the intricate sequin design. They attach with sequins so can be adjusted to fit.

Costume 4 - Pink & silver lycra
A high quality 5-piece Egyptian costume of bubblegum pink lycra. Heavily adorned with an intricate diamante, beading & sequin design repeated on the bra, skirt & arm pieces. When new this costume cost a lot of money & is a very high quality Egyptian design. In (proper!) photos, the costume sparkles unbelievably.
The bra is heavily adorned - sequins, diamante & beading - in a typically Egyptian way. The craftsmanship is beautiful! It has a double strap design (one set of straps goes over the shoulders, the other around the neck) all covered in beading & diamante. The bra is linked by 3 bars heavily adorned with beading & diamante. There is a delicate looped fringe detail at the front. The bra is fully lined in cotton & is a generous C-cup. The straps have been tailored to fit but could be adjusted.
The full-length skirt has an extremely intricate diamante & sequin design front & back at the top. There is fringing detail to add movement. Intricate beading & sequins are sewn down the side split & along the bottom. It has one side split to mid-thigh. There is also a 'belt' detail covered in diamante that rises up from the front of the costume to fasten at the back of the waist. This accentuates the waist, or gives the impression of having one in those who don't! The costume was bought from Norsheen who is a size 8 but easily fits my 40" hips & would fit larger sizes.
There are 3 arm pieces - 2 identical small ones plus a long one that attaches to the index finger, with cut out details down the side, for an asymmetric look (wear one short & one long one). There is intricate beading & fringing on each piece.
Condition: Bought from professional belly dancer Norsheen (but never worn by me), this costume was a real favourite that has been danced in throughout London. It still looks fantastic & could easily be danced in as is, but someone handy with a needle & thread could find bits & bobs to sew, & the diamante detailing has snagged the lycra on the skirt in places. The cotton lining of the bra is quite faded.
Price: £150 (considering the original cost & its excellent quality, this is an absolute bargain!)
