Friday 05 - DRUM CONCERT & Sufi drumming workshop with inte
rnational Sufi master ADNAN SARHAN - "Adnan travels the world giving concerts & workshops but only visits the UK every year or 2 years, so don't miss out. Adnan will perform, then lead participants in Sufi exercises to increase relaxation and concentration for the Sufi drumming he will then lead. Saturday 06 & Sunday 07 February - SUFI WORKSHOPS with international Sufi master ADNAN SARHAN - 11am to 5:30pm each day - Come to all the workshops, or just drop in - "Adnan Sarhan, founder of the Sufi Foundation, is internationally known for his “Rapid Method”. Adnan leads participants in a wide range of timeless techniques. Exercises, meditation, drumming, movement, chanting, dancing and whirling are used to develop the higher intelligence of the heart." Adnan inspired top London belly dancer Mia Serra to leave investment banking for a career in belly dance; on Sunday 31st they gave an impromptu performance together at Madam JoJo's in Soho ... see photo above right before the performance!

In the afternoon, there's a 3-hour percussion & dance workshop with world famous Helm: "Based in California, Helm is a major contributor to Middle Eastern music & a huge influence & inspiration ot many great dancers around the world including FatChanceBellyDance, Rachel Brice & Zoe Jakes. Thursday 10 - GUY SCHALOM & THE BALADI BLUES ENSEMBLE - "Following on from the huge success of their CDs 'Baladi Blues' & 'Tablatastic!!', the Baladi Blues Ensemble will be appearing at Jackson's Lane Theatre in Highgate on 10 September. The show will feature guest artists accordionist "Sheik" Taha, percussionist Ali El Minyawi & dancers Meret Gabra & Sara Kahan. The show will also feature band members Ahmed El Saidi (saxophone), Magdy Tewfik (accordion) & of course Adam Warne (percussion).
